dear all, here's where you can listen to what i've been up to as far as musical endeavours have been concerned: http://thesoundofthousandlights.bandcamp.com/ as for the rest, we'll see. having worked at a school of english over the past sixteen months has, contrary to my initial belief, not exactly fostered my english writing. on the contrary, it has rather made me aware of how poor my English is/ has been. but then again the perception of inadequacy has driven many a soul to articulate themselves in a more or less artistic manner. let's see where this will lead us. cheers, tobias

good day

if anyone should still be happening to notice this, then here's the smallest update i can come up with (still the most extensive in what has turned out to be quite a while): - i've been writing in the german language for what feels about at least four years now - has felt more 'natural' than writing in english, but then again this may change as i have been working at an english language school since october '11 (thus having dealt with and been able to practice more english). poetrywise i have been writing german haiku and managed to be published on an annual basis as my haiku, together with those of other writers, have been included in ye

people who recently showed appreciation for my work, i will adress all of you this way instead of answering indivdually. thank you very much. it's been a while, and the dd was a positive surprise. i haven't written in english for ages, and my style of writing has changed. i might submit something here again if i feel like it. william fitzsimmons and so i watch you from afar

Thank you for the comment. It was insightful and very much appreciated.
Are you still reading this?
sometimes, though not remotely as often as i used to.
hi, I'm very curious to know the story behind blue sky Pilots; it's an interesting piece that I'm still trying to wrap my mind around. I'm asking this as a fellow writer who's trying to understand the literature here on DD.
Keep up the good work btw:)
there is no real 'story', just an impression...which, in general, serves as a very good (if not essential) start for writing.

stories only if you must - and i felt that i didn't really have to! the image and its (un)ravelling is rather what's of interest here.

if you say you're trying to get hold of it, then i think of it as a good sign, of having engaged your imagination. the rest is really up to you!
